Tickets

   Tickets to shows are $5 to students presale (5 days before each show) and $7 at the door.

   Tickets will be sold 5 days before the show during lunch at Chugiak, in the cafeteria.

   At Eagle River they will be sold in the FDCC office.

 

Participation

   Shows and dress rehearsals are mandatory  (affects a letter grade).

    All Shows and rehearsals will be at the Steve Primis Auditorium on the Chugiak High School Campus

 

Fall Show Rehearsal

   Dress Rehearsal October 13 (Dress Rehearsal means costumes are required)

   10:30 AM to 4:30 PM (School Sponsored Activity)

   Eagle River will be bussed from ERHS to the Steve Primis Auditorium at 10:30 and bussed to ERHS from the Steve Primis Auditorium at 4:10 PM

 

Fall Show on October 14

   TWO SHOWS: 6 PM and 8PM

   Call for performers is 4:45

   Costumes-Brightest-loudest-colored shirt and dark pants or skirt plus any costume (Homemade or purchased) that shows up in black light for Nightmare before Christmas. Black socks for entire show.   

 

Alaska All State Music Festival

   East High School November 17-18 (Rehearsal) 7:30 AM to 8 PM Provide your own lunch.

   Layer your clothes. The rooms are very hot.

   Transportation is on your own.  Music is memorized.

   Auditions are due in Mr. Lange’s office the 2nd Friday of September.

   FOR EVERY ASAAA EVENT, AN ELIGIBILITY FORM IS DUE 2 WEEKS BEFORE THE EVENT. For example, to go through the all state choir process, you will need to submit 2 eligibility forms. 1, the second week of September (for the audition) and 1 the week you are selected to all state. (3rd week of October)

 

Winter Show Rehearsal

   December 14 (Dress Rehearsal means costumes are required)

Winter Concert  on December 15

   TWO SHOWS: 6 PM and 8PM

   Call for performers is 4:45

   Costumes-Pajamas and Formal Attire. It takes 2 weeks to get the formal attire from New York. (Choir Pictures for the yearbook will be taken during these shows.)

 

Winter Caroling

    Dec 16 from 7:30 AM until 2:00 PM

    Attire is warm and “UP”.

   Must not have missed a dress rehearsal or performance and you must have teacher approval to get on the bus.

   We tour JBER Hospital, the ASD Administration Building, Alaska Regional and Providence Hospital.

 

ASD Solo and Ensemble

   February 17

   Qualifier for State Solo and Ensemble May 12 and 13

   Eligibility due Jan 11, 2017

   Selection title, composer and original score and accompanist information due Jan 11, 2017

   ONE HAS TO HAVE AN ORIGINAL PIECE OF MUSIC TO GIVE TO THE JUDGE WITH MEASURES NUMBERED. COPIES WILL DISQUALIFY YOU. This is for ASD as well as state.

   Dress code is “DRESS UP”!!!!

   If you are in Ensemble, all must be eligible for state as well as ASD.

   Mr. Lange must OK your selection.

 

Eagle River High School Fine Arts Caberet 

   April 7, 2017.

   6:30 PM in the Eagle River Cafetorium

 

Large Group Festival (Required)

   April 19

   West High School Auditorium

   Call is 6:30 PM

   Formal attire

   Open to the public.

   We hear all of the choirs. This means you are at West high school from 6:45 PM until 9:00

 

Performance tour to Hawaii (NOT REQUIRED)

   April 20-25

   We will have the total price by the 16th of September and finalized itinerary by Jan 17th.

   Half is due October 13th

   Half is due Feb 1st

   Checks are made to Chugiak High School Choir or Eagle River High School Choir.

   We have a “1 adult to 8 students” ratio for chaperones.

   Mrs. Oldham (Chugiak) and Mrs. Hopkin (Eagle River High School) will be trip managers.

 

Spring Show Rehearsal

   May 4th from 1:40 PM to 4:10 PM (School Sponsored Activity)

   Eagle River will be bussed from ERHS to the Steve Primis Auditorium at 1:40 PM and bussed to ERHS from the Steve Primis Auditorium at 4:10 PM.

 

Spring Show on Friday May 5th at 7 PM

   ONE SHOW ONLY

   Festival attire

 

Seniors        

   Seniors have first choice as to Solos in every concert.

    If no seniors choose to perform a solo or the solo does not pass the AUDITION process (2 weeks prior to the performance), I will open the solo slots up to Juniors, then Sophs, then Freshmen.

 

Class Expectation

   A SHARPENED PENCIL AND HOLDING YOUR OWN MUSIC DURING CLASS.

   YEP-HAVE THEM BOTH. EVERY DAY!
